It's quite a common target for new dieters to lose 10 pounds. 10 days later, they set the same goal again, and so the race is on to loose 10 lbs every 10 days until that target weigh loss is reached. Now, although it's quite achievable lose 10 pound in the same amount of days, especially if you're got a fair amount to of weight to drop, it is a little over ambitious to expect to loose 10 pounds every 10 days for the duration. In fact it might even be considered a little dangerous, depending on who you are and how much you have to shake off. Be good to yourself! Setting yourself realistic goals over the long term is far more beneficial to mind and body than crash dieting.
Losing weight for most folks does not require rocket science. Eat a little less, eat more of the right kinds of foods, and take regular exercise.
