My Simple Diet Plan!
Most things in life do the full circle and diets are no exception. After years of doing the 'diet circuit', many heavy duty dieters realise that back-to-basics is the way forward and go back to simply putting less in their mouth and getting more exercise. Most still watch what they eat, but get to eat most of what they want without binging like they used to. This applies to me too. Personally, I'm a little heavier than I would like, but I'm fit, I'm healthy, and I'm one happy camper. But check back in with me again after the New Year, and I'll probably be back onto some new fangled liquid diet, with protein shakes and raw eggs ha ha!

Low Fat High Protein Diet Weight Loss Programs

So do these low fat, high protein diet, weight loss programs really work? And what's more, are they healthy and safe? After all, there's been nothing but controversy following the high fat, high protein diet menu since it became a popular alternative to the calorie counting diets that so many got used to. After the popularity of Dr. Atkins Diet high protien high fat eating plan, so came the copycats of the high protein diet, weight loss alternatives. Of course, every new introduction had its own twist which made it so much better than any high or low fat, high protein diet that came before it. But the fact of the matter is that they all work with regards to weighloss, but are they really safe?

Dr Atkins High Protein Diet Weight Loss Plan Guarantees you'll lose Weight!

If a diet plan has stood the test of time, that is been around for a good few years, then there's a pretty good chance it is one of those diets which work if you work it. With any high protein diet, weight loss is inevitable, even though sometimes a little controversial. A low fat high protein diet mustn't be confused with high fat high protein diet menu as they both offer different ways. These diet extremes seem to have as many for them as there are against, which really confuses those wanting to make an informed decision about starting a high protein diet weight loss program.

The Dr Atkins infamous diet is certainly not what you might call a low fat high protein diet. On the contrary, it's a high fat high protein diet, and it's important to make that distinction when looking at the various diet types which focus on high protein. With any high protein diet, weight loss is inevitable providing the eating plan is followed exactly. Protein being what it is also means that high the protein diet menu will not leave the dieter hungry as is the case with all those calorie counting fads that are being promoted relentlessly. But all diets WILL work if you the dieter follow them, but the most important issue has to be asked; Is this diet right for me, and my body?

Low Carbohydrates Diet

Along came the South Beach diet and at a glance it appears to be similar, if not the same as the Atkins Diet. It too has a 2 week initiation period where there is a strict 'no carb' rule, or certainly a very low carb intake. Both these initiation periods give a good moral boost to the dieter as most folks can expect to lose in excess of 13 pounds give or take an ounce. But after the initiation, they tend to go on their separate paths. With the South Beach diet, "good" carbohydrates are actually encouraged, whereas "bad" fats are not.

The classic Atkins Diet plan doesn't really like any carbs to speak of, yet chewing on greasy chicken skin or licking out the pork dripping are practically egged on and considered as healthy treats. Logic tells me (as I'm no dietitian or nutritional expert), that this is a recipe for an early grave………surely!

But as the high protein diet gets more popular, so comes more research and information from the experts. The bottom line is that they DO work, but only you, and perhaps your family doctor, can decide whether they are right for you personally or not.
